1. Cutting material:
The manufacturing process of automobile wheels is forging. Forging is divided into: gravity forging and low pressure forging. Gravity forging is very simple, using liquid alloy to pour into the mold, the cost is relatively low; today we mainly explain low-pressure forging. Low-pressure forged metal has high density, good strength, high safety factor, and complex shape. It is the main production method of aluminum alloy wheels at present, and the production process is highly automated. The material is generally aluminum alloy steel. Such a long steel material cannot be directly processed. It needs to be cut into aluminum alloy rods with the same shape. First, the rods are fixed on the cutting table. Similar to the structure of a bench vise, the steel bar is tightened on the cutting table, and the cutting is performed after the tightening is completed, and the large bars are sequentially cut into small bars of the same shape.
2. Forging
Before forging, the steel rod needs to be heated, and the temperature is controlled at 977 degrees Celsius. After being released from the furnace, it enters the next process - forging, using high pressure to press the heated metal into the rough embryo of the wheel hub. In this way, the rough embryo is produced. Entering the next process of spinning, it is not difficult to understand that spinning is to rotate the workpiece and apply a certain pressure to the workpiece, so that the workpiece is stretched to the shape of the model under pressure. After the spinning is completed, the model of the hub has been made.
3. Surface treatment and inspection
The finished wheel hub needs to be processed on the surface contour, and an advanced CNC milling machine is used at this time. After the CNC milling is completed, the rough outline of the wheel hub has been made, and then the wheel hub needs to be polished by foreign aid. After the outer edge of the wheel hub is polished, it is time to polish the inside of the wheel hub. This is how the wheels are made. The most critical step is the inspection of the wheel hub. The inspection link is mainly to detect the concentricity of the hub. After the inspection is completed, the good products flow into the client, and the defective products are refurbished or scrapped according to the actual situation.
