On June 10, Canadian ambassador to China Dominic Barton, Consul General in Shanghai Dave Murphy, deputy consul general J.C. brillant, counsellor Jeffrey bell, commercial consul Joselito SIA and commercial official Sam Kong visited Wanfeng group for investigation.
Ambassador Dominic Barton and his party visited Wanfeng aircraft manufacturing factory, Wanfeng magnesium Ruiding factory, Wanfeng science and Technology Museum and Wanfeng general airport, and had a discussion with Chairman Chen Ailian and President Chen Bin of Wanfeng group board of directors. The two sides exchanged views on industrial cooperation, personnel training, technological innovation and cultural integration.
Ambassador Dominic Barton highly appreciated the fruitful achievements made by Wanfeng group in the global strategic layout of industrial leapfrog development, and expressed his sincere gratitude to Wanfeng group for its contribution in revitalizing Canada's local economy, creating employment, undertaking social responsibility, and promoting the development of aviation industry.
Ambassador Dominic Barton said that Wanfeng's remarkable achievements in deep development of its investment projects in Canada have created a classic successful case of Chinese enterprises investing in Canada. The Embassy in China will continue to pay close attention to Wanfeng's development, and Canada encourages and supports Wanfeng's auto parts project and the landing of Mgr Canada's global R & D Center (GTC), Fully support the TC forensics work of Canadian diamond aircraft in China, and let more Canadian diamond aircraft enter China quickly. The embassy will make every effort to improve the four Department linkage working mechanism composed of the Canadian Ministry of innovation, science and economic development, the Ministry of foreign affairs, the Ministry of transportation and the Ministry of international trade, so as to ensure the sustainable and healthy development of Wanfeng's enterprises in Canada. He hoped that the two sides would further deepen cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and work hand in hand to make new contributions to promoting the high-quality development of China Canada navigation and enhancing the friendship between the two peoples.
