As cars gallop smoothly on highways, aircraft soar precisely through the clouds, and general machinery operates at high speed in factories - behind all these industrial marvels lies the solid support of low pressure die casting (LPDC) technology.
"History of Casting Development in China", compiled by the China Foundry Association, has solemnly recorded the breakthrough journey of Zhejiang Wanfeng Technology Development Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Wanfeng Technology") in its annals. From breaking the monopoly of European and American equipment in 2000, to participating in the formulation of industry standards, and then to exporting products worldwide, Wanfeng Technology has crafted an epic of the rise of China's LPDC industry through over two decades of dedicated efforts.
In 2000, Wanfeng Technology independently developed the first WFZJ1125 special LPDC machine for automotive wheels, which reached the domestically leading and internationally advanced standard. In 2002, this equipment was certified as a National Key New Product and quickly gained widespread recognition and high praise from customers upon its market launch. Applications: Subframe, multi cavity control arms, battery pack, etc.
Functions: Centralized melting furnace, metal treatment unit, fully automatic furnace changeover system, new generation LPDC machine, automatic extraction&core placement unit, centralized cooling&unloading, MES system.
Configuration: Centralized melting furnace, molten metal treatment unit, fully automatic furnace changing system, new-generation LPDC machine, automatic part extraction & core setting unit, centralized cooling & offline module, and MES system.
LPDC production line with full auto furnace changeover system
Functions: Centralized melting, centralized metal supply, regional molten metal treatment, logistics-based molten metal transfer, and automatic monitoring of molten metal supply-demand balance for crucible furnaces.
Configuration: Centralized melting furnace, regional metal treatment, multi-directional furnace changeover system, metal treatment unit, LPDC automation, and metal logistics monitoring.
LPDC&Counter pressure mixed production line with crucible type holding furnace:
This line is mixed of LPDC and counter pressure machine application. Based on different castings and volume, equipped with certain machine&auto, such as LPDC,GDC,Counter pressure, larger/small scale equipment.
Configuration: Auto furnace changing system, customerized layout&design, flexible configuration.
LPDC production line with small refractory lining holding furnace:
Application:Cylinder head, knuckle and other medium/small size casting production.
Configuration: LPDC machine, transferring ladle, degassing machine, etc.
From 2006 to 2014, supported by national-level innovation funds and provincial key scientific and technological research projects, Wanfeng Technology successively developed automated equipment integrating LPDC machines, Counter pressure die casting machines and robots. This series of equipment has been widely applied in core industrial fields such as automotive, motorcycle, power engineering and aerospace, with products exported to more than 10 countries and regions including India, Brazil, Vietnam and the United States. In addition, Wanfeng Technology began the batch export of its "Wanfeng-branded" LPDC machines in 2007, opening a new chapter in its global layout.
From 2005 to 2015, under the leadership and organization of the National Technical Committee 54 on Foundry of Standardization Administration of China, Wanfeng Technology participated in the formulation of a number of national and industry standards, which have been promulgated and implemented. Adhering to the concept of technological innovation, Wanfeng Technology has presided over and participated in the drafting of 16 national and industry standards such as "Low pressure die casting machine-Technical requirements", obtained more than 230 authorized patents, and successfully secured the drafting rights of international standards including "Foundry machinery - Safety requirements for low pressure die casting machines".
After more than 20 years of trials and hardships, Wanfeng Technology has grown into a leading enterprise in the industry integrating LPDC equipment R&D, casting product production and intelligent solution provision.
