Tailored for high-precision castings such as cylinder heads, this production line enables full-process automation from molten metal pouring to finished product delivery.
Integrated with Wanfeng's latest in-house developed gravity die casting (GDC) machine dedicated to cylinder head production, the production line achieves enhanced tilting control precision and exceptional process stability, ensuring consistent and high-quality casting outcomes for cylinder heads. Featuring an innovative three-dimensional collaborative layout with overhead and ground tracks, paired with industrial robots and customized end-of-arm grippers, the entire system enables automated material transportation for long-distance and multi-station production procedures.
The entire production line enables fully automated operation for pouring, sand core placement and part picking, replacing traditional manual workflows. It significantly lowers labor intensity and avoids operational errors caused by human intervention. Upon casting forming, parts are automatically conveyed to the integrated post-processing unit for decoring, automatic trimming and precision deburring, eliminating all intermediate manual handling processes. The solution achieves truly seamless, one-stop manufacturing from rough casting to final post-processing.
Furthermore, the production line is standardly configured with Wanfeng's self-developed MES system. The platform collects real-time operational data from all equipment nodes, including casting machines, rail conveyor systems, robots, trimming and deburring machines. It enables real-time equipment status monitoring, production progress tracking, full lifecycle quality traceability, and energy consumption analysis. Powered by the MES system, plant managers can remotely oversee full-line operation and implement refined production management and data-driven decision-making.
Beyond the live demonstration of the cylinder head production line, Wanfeng Technology comprehensively exhibited its full-spectrum integrated solutions for non-ferrous alloy casting. The complete portfolio covers core forming equipment including LPDC, GDC and CPC machines, aluminum melting systems, aluminum chip pre-treatment units, as well as automated post-processing systems for shakeout, trimming, cutting and deburring.
