As the main method of aluminum alloy wheel production, low-pressure die casting (LPDC)is to fill the mold under low pressure (generally 20-60kpa). After filling, the pressure is maintained for a period of time, and then the pressure is released. The specific process is shown in the figure. This production method can produce high quality wheels in large quantities. The solidification process of liquid aluminum is carried out under pressure, so the product qualification rate and utilization rate of liquid aluminum are high. The low-pressure die casting machine has a higher degree of automation, the labor intensity of workers is relatively low, the production efficiency is high, and the cost is slightly higher than that of gravity casting.
