At the 2026 Shanghai Die Casting Exhibition, ALUCAST Secretary General Vidhi Daryanani, Secretary-General of ALUCAST, shared insights into the sector's development outlook. India's aluminum die casting market is currently valued at approximately USD 1.8–2.0 billion. It is projected to register a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7–8% up to 2030, reaching a market size of USD 2.6–3.0 billion by 2030. ALUCAST data shows a clear material gap between conventional fuel-powered vehicles and new-energy vehicles (NEVs): Traditional automobiles use 60-90 kg of aluminum per unit on average, while NEVs consume 120-160 kg. This rising demand is mainly driven by battery systems, electric drive assemblies, thermal management modules and vehicle body structures.
